Kent Waldrep Donation.

Kent Waldrep is iconic in our community.  He was best known for having an accident on the football field in the late 70's.  It was a game between TCU and  Alabama  .  He was with TCU.  During that game,   Kent  's life changed forever.  He became a quadriplegic from a spinal cord injury that occurred during a play.

Now he's known for other things, not just for the accident that caused his paralysis, which many of us remember, but for what his has accomplished BECAUSE of his paralysis.  He has raised millions of dollars to develop research programs on spinal cord injury.  He has traveled the world and changed many lives.  He has inspired and given hope to thousands.  His entire life has been fighting for a common cause of quality of life for those who have a spinal cord injury and, ultimately, a cure.

Now he needs OUR help.  If you haven't heard, he suffered a stroke caused by a blood clot in his brain.  After a very scary brain surgery and coma, he is up and moving now.  He is undergoing some intense physical therapy, but has lost strength in his left hand and may have to transition to a power wheelchair.  The most important thing is, he can not drive any more.  The van he has is set up for HIM to drive.  There is no driver's seat because he drove it from his wheelchair.  Because of the technology that is in the van, the family can not use it.  To get him to appointments they have to lift him and transfer him into the car, which is very hard on all of them.  They need a new van.   One that the family can drive.

The medical bills are piling up and his income has been so reduced they just don't have the resources to get a van at this point.  We want to help this man who has helped SO many.

Can you help?

We would LOVE to buy them a van and help with medical expenses.  If you would like to donate, you may click on the "donate" button on our home page.  Every dollar will go directly to the family.  We just feel that Kent has helped SO many people, maybe we can all come together and bless him and his family.   I would LOVE your help.

All proceeds that are collected will go directly to the intended individual or cause specifically requested.
